ETHICAL DESIGN
WE ALL NEED TO BE KIND TO OUR PLANET SO HERE IS HOW WE ARE TRYING...
CLIMATE POSITIVE ACTION
ETHICAL DESIGN IS THE INTEGRAL FOUNDATION OF OUR COMPANY
Salty is a rustic furniture company dedicated to sourcing sustainable, organic materials. We use a combination of reclaimed and FSC certified timber to handcraft our bespoke furniture. Our ethos has always been to make a change, take responsibility and whole heartedly commit to working towards a sustainable future.
We Use Recycled and Reclaimed Wood
Responsibly sourced FSC/ PEFC certified timber (ensuring the wood comes from responsible managed forests).
Recycle our off cuts – Any off cuts are stored and given family and friends or the local community as kindling for fires.
Eco-friendly and Bio-degradable packaging - Our priority is to protect our products as well as our planet.
Eco Shrink Wrap– The eco shrink wrap is a high strength oxo-biodegradable wrapping film, that offers outstanding strength but is able to break down naturally in natural conditions. The film is made by polymers which have been widely recycled around the world and once the film has been used it can be recycled again.
Paper Packaging Tape- We use brown paper packaging tape with a natural rubber solvent which is fully recyclable and eco-friendly.
Green Bubble Wrap– We wrap our products with green, recyclable bubble wrap which can be reused or recycled after use.

Partnered with Ecologi
We are proud to be working alongside Ecologi
We support a movement to take action on our climate crisis. As a result, Salty is a climate positive workforce.
So, what does this mean? We offset our carbon footprint including personal/business travel, home emissions, food and much more. By funding and supporting the restoration of forests. Each month Ecologi plants thousands of trees both globally and locally (UK) and funds outstanding Climate Crisis Solutions.
The Climate Crisis solutions we help fund can be anything from preserving prime Brazilian forests to restoring wildlife corridors for Koalas in Australia. The projects are mainly in low cost, high impact parts of the world to be as effective as possible.
Our UK Based Initiatives
Not only do we support global initiatives we help UK based projects as well. We are currently supporting a reforestation project in Scotland, which has been approved by the Scottish Natural Heritage. Helping to plant a deciduous forest to restore a huge space of land which has become barren and neglected due to poor farming.
